Franchise Journey: Jason Stucky – Geneva and Glenview, IL

Jason Stucky, a successful Color Me Mine franchisee, who’s story is both inspiring and unique. Starting his career at the age of 19 with the military, Jason was stationed at the China Lake Naval Base in California and met his life partner while in service. Honorably discharged during the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” era, he transitioned to a 13-year career in retail with Petco, where he finished in a corporate role but longed for more autonomy and time with his family.

When his family relocated, Jason took on a co-manager role at Color Me Mine in Geneva. When the opportunity arose to purchase the studio, he strategically rolled over his 401K into this new venture. Jason’s commitment paid off, and he later acquired the Glenview studio as well.

Despite facing challenges, including the impact of COVID, Jason’s perseverance and the robust support from his franchise team have driven his success. He enjoys the freedom franchising provides, working from home and remaining deeply involved in his community, supporting schools and senior facilities.

Jason’s advice for prospective franchisees? “Build a strong team, set clear expectations, and embrace the flexibility that comes with franchising.” His story exemplifies the incredible opportunities that franchising can offer to dedicated entrepreneurs!
